JAZZ PIANIST RIN HEITETSU

日本人の母、韓国人の父のもとに生まれ、4歳よりピアノを始める。15歳まで東京音楽大学付属音楽教室にてクラッシックピアノ・音楽理論を学び1988年毎日新聞社主催学生音楽コンクールにて奨励賞受賞。立教大学文学部入学後ジャズに興味を持ち始め、ユキ・アリマサ氏よりジャズピアノを学ぶ。2001年アメリカへ渡りバークリー音楽大学ジャズコンポジション科を専攻。ジャズピアノ、作曲、アレンジ、音楽理論を学ぶ。現在に至るまでの音楽活動は多岐にわたる。​

演奏実績/全国、都内のジャズライブハウス演奏、BLUE NOTE上海・北京、人形劇チェコ国際大会にてパフォーマンスグループ「シアタートライアングル」グランプリ受賞時ピアノ演奏、メディア出演(NHK-FM J-Wave他)

Born to a Japanese mother and a Korean father, he began studying piano at the age of four. Until the age of fifteen, he studied classical piano and music theory at the Preparatory Music School of Tokyo College of Music. In 1988, he received an Honorable Mention in the Student Music Competition sponsored by Mainichi Newspapers.

After entering Rikkyo University’s College of Arts, he developed an interest in jazz and began studying jazz piano with Yuki Arimasa.

In 2001, he moved to the United States to study Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music, where he pursued studies in jazz piano, composition, arranging, and music theory.

Since then, his musical career has encompassed a wide range of activities, spanning performance, composition, and arranging.

Performance Record

Performances at jazz clubs throughout Japan, including Tokyo, as well as at BLUE NOTE Shanghai and Beijing. Piano performance with the performance group “Theater Triangle,” which won the Grand Prix at an international puppetry competition in the Czech Republic. Media appearances include NHK-FM, J-WAVE, and others.
